Letters of Thomas Jefferson [manuscript], 1806-1825.

Two letters written by Thomas Jefferson. The first is to Christian Mayer, a presidential letter on domestic subjects, and is dated 1806 June 20. The second, to John H. Sherburne, discusses busts and engravings at Monticello, specifically Houdon's bust of John Paul Jones, dated 1825 July 2. Also included are two pictures of Jefferson which, according to the purchase note, "Goodspeed's evidently threw in for good measure."
